How much do new gutters cost in Snohomish County?

What drives the price, and how to read two quotes so you can compare them fairly.

Most homes with 150 to 200 feet of gutter pay roughly $1,900 to $3,900 for new seamless aluminum gutters. That comes from labor at about $4 to $11 per foot plus aluminum at about $8.50 per foot, or roughly $12.50 to $19.50 per foot installed. Guards, repairs to the wood behind the gutter, and extra downspouts cost more. These figures come from Angi’s 2026 Seattle cost data. They describe the market, not Pro Flow prices. For your house, the only accurate number is a measured estimate, and ours are free.

What drives the price of new gutters?

FactorEffect on priceWhy
Feet of gutter neededThe base of every quoteGutters are priced by the foot. It’s the biggest single factor.
5-inch vs 6-inchModerate increaseMore aluminum per foot, bigger downspouts and a little more labor. When it is worth it.
Number of storiesNoticeable increaseTwo-story work is slower and needs more setup. Three stories even more so.
Roof shapeModerate to largeDormers, valleys and lots of corners mean more corner cuts, more downspout openings and more time.
Number of downspoutsModest per downspoutEach one is cheap, and it’s the last place to cut corners.
Gutter guardsSignificant additionPriced per foot on top of the gutter. Quality varies a lot, so compare like for like.
Fascia repairThe usual surpriseThe fascia is the board your gutters attach to. You can’t hang new gutters on rotten wood, and on older homes this changes a quote the most.
Removal and disposalSmallTaking the old gutters away. It should be included, so check.

Why is the price range so wide?

A quote near the low end and one near the high end usually aren’t for the same thing. The low end is often sectional gutters: pre-cut pieces joined every ten feet and held up with nails. The high end is seamless gutters made on site, hung on strong brackets, with the right size downspouts. Over 20 years, those are different products, not different prices for the same product.

How do you compare two gutter quotes fairly?

  • Seamless or sectional? Sectional gutters have a joint every ten feet, and each joint can leak.
  • What holds the gutters up? Nails, hidden hangers or a bracket system. This decides whether they’re still straight in 15 years.
  • How thick is the aluminum? Thinner aluminum is cheaper and dents more easily.
  • How many downspouts, and what size? A quote with too few downspouts will be cheaper, and the gutters will overflow.
  • Does the quote include checking the fascia? If not, the price may change on installation day.
  • Is removal and disposal included?
  • What is the warranty, on products and on workmanship? Ask for it in writing.

What about gutter guards?

Guards are priced per foot on top of the gutter. A basic screen and a quality aluminum guard can differ a lot in price. Whether guards pay for themselves depends mostly on the trees over your roof and what you spend on cleaning now. We do the 10-year math in gutter guards vs annual cleaning.

Where can you really save money?

Not by buying the cheapest gutters. The real savings come from three things. Catch problems with the wood early, before they spread. Get the size right the first time, so you don’t pay twice. And repair instead of replacing when a repair will do. We recommend repairs often, and our reviews mention it more than anything else.

Where do these numbers come from?

For gutter guards, This Old House’s gutter guard cost guide (updated August 2026) puts professional installation at an average of $39.71 per foot nationally. That’s about $7,941 for 200 feet, with brand-name systems from $39.59 to $61.61 per foot. These are market figures, not a Pro Flow price list. For your home, the accurate number is a measured estimate.

Common questions

No. We measure, check the wood behind your gutters and the drainage, and give you a written price with no obligation.

Often, yes, because the crew and equipment are already there. But order matters: gutters generally go on after the new roof.

Aluminum sits in the middle. It costs more than vinyl and far less than copper, and it suits this climate better than either. Vinyl gets brittle, and copper is a different budget entirely.

We can give you a rough idea, but not a number to rely on. Houses that look alike from the street can need very different amounts of gutter.
